Why Advertise at the Union?

Being the community center of campus, the A. Ray Olpin Union Building received over 4.7 million visitors last year. On average, each person spent 30 minutes eating lunch and 45 minutes in the Union computer lab. The building hosted over 8,400 student and community events last year and attendance has reached as high as 7,000 at Crimson Nights.

The A. Ray Olpin Union Building houses resource centers and offices for major student organizations such as the Associated Students of the University of Utah, Fraternity and Sorority Life, and the Union Programming Council, attracting thousands of students to the building.

Advertising Options

Please see below for the current advertising options. *Subject to availability

  • The Union will set up a table, chairs, and access to power in a high traffic area. This is a great way to engage with students face-to-face about your services. You can schedule tables for whenever you want as long as the space is available. Information tables are free for students, vendor tables are $25/day, and solicitation tables are $125/day.

  • The Union will place a banner outside the Union in a high traffic area.

    Union Banner Specifications

  • The Union will place a 24" x 36" poster inside our sign holders inside the Union in a high traffic area.

  • The Union will place a 24" x 36" sign on our a-frames outside the Union in a high traffic area.

  • The Union will display digital images or videos on the 13 screens around the Union building for a maximum of 30 seconds in a 10 minute loop. These 30 seconds can be broken up into any increment.

  • The Union will place 50 double sided cards in sign holders on the Union food court tables

  • The Union will place 25 double sided cards in sign holders in the Gardner Commons food court area.

  • The Union will print and install a floor sticker in the Union food court.

  • Reserve the display case in our main lobby for a full month and decorate it with content you would like to share with campus.

    *Lobby Display Case reservations are restricted to campus departments only.

  • The large building banner is located on the south facing exterior wall of the Union. The Union will schedule the placement of your banner for 2 weeks at a time, 4 times throughout the year.

  • Lamppost Banner Details

    • There are 10 zones with 14 lampposts in each zone.
    • Each zone has 14 lampposts spread around campus to give maximum campus coverage.
